Mary serves as the Campus Coordinator at Thrive Community Church, where she has the privilege of helping create an environment where ministries, events, and church activities can flourish. She is passionate about serving others and ensuring that every detail supports the mission of helping people know God and grow in their faith.

Mary and her husband, Michael Schimmenti, began attending Thrive Community Church in April 2025. While on their way to visit another church, they felt led to stop at Thrive and inquire about the church and its new name. From the moment they walked through the doors, they experienced genuine love, warmth, and community. They quickly knew Thrive was where God was calling them to plant roots, and they became members shortly afterward. Less than a year later, Mary joined the staff team and continues to serve with gratitude and excitement for all that God is doing through the church.

Originally from Venezuela and Italy, Mary has a background in architecture and a heart for creativity, organization, and building meaningful connections. Outside of church, she enjoys crafting, cooking and baking, exercising, hiking, traveling, and discovering new places, cultures, and experiences. She especially loves spending time in nature and sharing life with family and friends.

One of Mary's favorite Bible verses is: “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7. This verse reminds her that even when God’s plans are not fully visible, faith allows us to trust His guidance, knowing that His purpose and timing are always good.
